1. If you hypnotise somebody, you have complete control over them. Wrong! Somebody being hypnotised cannot be made to do anything that they feel is immoral, or that they would be uncomfortable with. You’ve probably seen stage hypnotists working with members of the public and getting them to do silly things, but remember that they chose to be hypnotised, and they are not actually doing anything that would harm anybody. 2. A hypnotist possesses occult powers. Wrong! There is nothing special about a hypnotist. A hypnotist is a person who has learned a special skill that involves using communication to relax his/her subjects. It’s a skill that anybody can learn.

3. Hypnosis is dangerous. Wrong! Nobody has ever not come out of a hypnotic trance according to all the references I have taken up on the subject. You will either arise naturally from trance, or go from trance into natural sleep, and awaken naturally some time later.

Hypnosis can help you build confidence; reduce your levels of nerves and stress; get rid of any bad habits; improve your memory; and many other things.
